Baby Modelling Experience

Those of you who follow me on Twitter and Instagram have probably seen more than enough about Amelia’s Jojo Maman Bebe photo shoot but now the pictures have gone live on the sight I wanted to share with you my experiences.

Back in May 2014 I saw a Facebook post from Jojo Maman Bebe after babies and young children for a photoshoot in Poole and Bournemouth (where I live) and to send details and pictures to the following email address. I like every other parent think my child is the perfect model so I applied.

We heard back over the next few days and were invited for a casting at our local Jojo Maman Bebe where Amelia tried a few outfits on for size and they took a couple of shots. The lady Alice who was in charge was so lovely and told us all the information we needed to know and that we would hear from them within the next week and when the shoot dates were.

Sure enough we heard back that they wanted to shoot Amelia on these dates and the locations would be confirmed the night before. Obviously I was so excited and told everyone!!

The day of the shoot came and we were heading down to one of our local beaches Branksome Chine. It was perfect blue skies shorts weather but the downside was it that it was boiling which can only lead to stroppy/irritable babies!!

We were greeted and shown to which section of beach everyone was congregating on and I was given one of Amelia’s outfits to put on. This was the waiting game where all I can advise is toys and food! There were about 6 babies there all had to be shot in a couple of outfits and at separate times. Amelia seemed to be in a great mood a bit aggy with the sun in her eyes but happy with the Jojo staff and super smiley. She even left a hat on which is a rarity!

It came to Amelia’s turn and exactly what I had hoped not to happen happened. Tears and lots of them. The photographer was great and Alice and the other staff were so lovely and patient in helping to distract Amelia and make her smile. It’s funny most of the babies seemed to react in a similar way once sat in their spot by the sea with everyone in front of them staring. They did thankfully get the shots and we then moved onto her second outfit. This shoot again came with lots of tears but a few smiles and once again they were pretty certain they got the photo. You can’t help but apologise because you’ve been chosen to get these photos but have no control or idea as to how your baby is going to react. The Jojo team were amazingly calm and really positive which really helped!

We were there from 9am-12pm which was plenty long enough for Amelia, especially as it was outside location.

The bottom picture completely demonstrates Amelia’s thoughts on the whole modelling thing! She was not impressed!

We were invited to come and shoot again on the Sunday morning at a local hotel that backs onto the waters edge and the marina (a perfect photoshoot backdrop) and I was a bit more prepared this time. I didn’t have such high expectations that I had previously had. Of course Amelia wasn’t going to be beaming smiles for these random people she’s only just met and it must be quite a daunting experience.

Similar to the other day two outfits and just waiting your turn. She wore a gorgeous white lace floral dress first that she looked extremely cute in that again had a few tears to begin with but she did warm. Then she put on a little romper and they wanted her to hold onto the back of a mini deck chair. Unfortunately Amelia was having none of this and actually fell over only making matters worse.I can’t stress enough how professional, patient and polite the Jojo Maman Bebe photographer and staff were. I mean they waited and we tried again let her have some lunch and a sleep but Amelia bless her had just had enough and they were so fine about it, which eased my guilt!

We were paid in vouchers for our time and were to receive a copy of all the photos they had. This suited me perfectly it is one of my absolute favourite shops for Amelia so I had no problem spending the vouchers.

To be honest it had almost slipped my mind and the disc arrived in the post. It was quite funny to flick though like a set of pictures following Amelia balling her eyes out but they somehow with a naughty tearful model still managed to get some amazing shots.

Then the most exciting bit was this weekend when I saw Amelia on the website and in the catalogues. Proud doesn’t even come close to how it feels to see my beautiful little baby in there (although how big has she got!!!!)

These are the three shots that were used of Amelia;

I love all three of these photos especially the swimming nappy and the floppy hat, I could show you a tonne of photos but I shall resist!!

And here she is in the catalogue (PROUD MUM ALERT!):

Jojo Maman Bebe Catalogue SS15

This post is mostly rambling and showing off Amelia’s gorgeous photos but key points if your going to do baby modelling;

  • Don’t expect too much.
  • Be patient.
  • Act as normal as you can around your baby, they don’t know any different.
  • Stick to normal feed & nap times.
  • Bring lots of food and toys!!
  • Like always your baby has to come first. If it’s not working it’s not working, don’t try and force it. (When Amelia had really had enough I said no)
  • Try and enjoy it. It’s probably a one off experience!

Thanks so much for reading!xx

Homemade Playdough

For Christmas Amelia got some Play-Doh and she loves it so I thought I would give it go and make some myself. It’s really easy to do, really quick and makes lots!

Thought I would share the recipe with you guys in case anyone wanted to try it:

IMG_5225

The  only cream of tartar I found was in sachets and one sachet seemed to do the job for each lot! I got a bit carried away and made 3 colours, but I love how bright they came out.  (This recipe makes one ball shown above!)

  1. Put all ingredients in a saucepan and stir until combined add choice of food colouring.
  2. Put over the heat and keep stirring until you feel the texture change.
  3. Take off the heat and keep stirring until one big lump attached to spoon.
  4. It will be quite sticky so you’ll need to work it with your hands until it isn’t.
  5. Store until cool for use – always keep air-tight so it doesn’t dry up!

There are lots of different ways of making playdough you can do it just by adding boiling water which might save on washing up! You can also use wholegrain flour for a different texture, glycerine to give it a shine, glitter for fun, or different scents and if you use self raising flour it makes it super stretchy!!

The only down-side is you don’t get the amazing smell of shop bought play-doh (or is that just me?!)

Hope this is useful and thanks for reading!xx

Toddler Bedroom Inspiration

Amelia never had a fully decorated nursery so I am really looking forward to decorating a toddler room. It will be a slow process probably ending when she goes into a big girl bed but that should help to spread the cost and give me time to source all the things I really want at the best prices.

I’ve been having a browse online at what kind of theme if any I like and what colours I like. The walls are already an off white cream colour and they will be staying that way. Her nursery bedding was all yellow as I couldn’t find anything pink that I liked that wasn’t covered in hearts or giant tacky characters and I want the yellow to continue but intend to bring in a bit more of a pink floral theme.

I actually got some bedding in last years Next sale which I think is pink and yellow butterflies so that can help get the ball rolling but its likely I will get another set too.

Her bedroom is a really good size so there is room to have lots of different bits going on. I love the idea of having crisp white furniture a cosy bed layered with quilts and blankets and a teepee reading corner filled with bean bags and tonnes of cushions to snuggle down with all of Amelia’s favourite stories.

I also like the idea of the room being a bit mismatch but all cute with the mix of pastel colours.

I’m at the beginnings of looking into things so this will probably be a series over the course of the next few months. None of these are definite purchases just getting some ideas and inspiration flowing.

Compil with numbers

  1. I adore this floral quilt from Zara. I think its the perfect pattern with the ditsy floral design but I think it would need to be on top of a more plain bedding set. You can get it in cot/single size and is around £39.99.
  2. This is the Bella Butterfly pink cotton bedset from Laura Ashley and I think this and the above quilt would go perfectly together. You can get all the bits to go with it like a curtain, rug, lampshade etc but I love this set and Laura Ashley bedding is really good quality plus the combination of flower filled butterflies is perfect.
  3. This pink striped cotton rug is an absolute bargain and is most likely going to feature in Amelia’s bedroom. It’s a really great size has anti slip protectors on the back and is a complete steal from H&M at only £14.99. (Yes they do one in blue those with boys!)
  4. I love blankets and having them folded up ready to snuggle under and this would be the perfect addition to a little girls room. This is another pick from Zara who has the most gorgeous selection of blankets, I could easily have them all. I love the panelled sections of different patterns in this blanket but I would only get it if it was still in the sale at £19.99.

Lights compil numbers

  1. I really love this Flower Tree Lamp from Next and think it could be a good statement piece on a white bedside table.
  2. I love these Cable & Cotton Marshmallow fairy lights and think they would add perfectly to Amelia’s room draped over the end of her bed or around her book case or over her teepee to add to cosy bedtimes. You can get these in a variety of lengths and are really reasonable in price.
  3. This isn’t the light shade I want to have but something dainty with some beads on so it can stick around for a few years as her room grows up! This one here is from Laura Ashley.

postcard compil

These prints are all from This Modern Life who sell a selection of the coolest home-ware and if you decorated entirely from them your baby/childs room would be the coolest around.

I love the idea of having a cluster of these prints postcard sized in frames on one of her walls. I think they are so cute and they have so many to choose from. I wouldn’t definitely go for these specific ones but I picked a few of my favourites. I think having these on the wall would change the dynamic of the room slightly and jazz it up a little bit.

Storage numbers compil

These are my storage picks; I’m not going to bore you with me comparing prices on different furniture sites of pretty much identical white wardrobes and chests of draws but thought I would share the fun stuff.

1. I love these House Shelves from Next. I think they are cute and fun and would look really great staggered on one of Amelia’s bedroom walls with little statement trinkets in. You can get these in a few places but these are £18 from Next which is pretty good for 3!

2/3/4/5. These are all Storage Boxes form H&M and are only £3.99. I love the idea of having one in each pattern and they are a really good size for a really good price.

6. This is a Storage Cube to put the above Storage Boxes into. They would be stacked and probably look really cool! This is from Argos and I have also discovered they do a ready made 4X Storage Cube which would probably work out cheaper. I would just need to check out the dimensions of the boxes to make sure they would fit. The Great Little Trading Company do a similar idea to this in their storage section but its quite pricey so sometimes you have to buy from a few different places to keep the cost down but it would still look the same!

7. This is another one from H&M (who knew they did homeware…I didn’t until this search and so reasonable!!) I love the idea of this Wooden Storage Box sitting on her dressing table or next to her bed with that nights choice of book in. It looks like a wagon which I think is super fun and just a bit different.

8. Not so much storage but such a cute Photo Frame it says “Mom and Me” from Zara.

9. Another possible shelving idea are these Pretty Trim Shelves in pink and white. Makes a change from just normal shelves and £25 for them both from Next is a good price.

Seating Compil numbers

I’m not entirely sure if I want a little table and chair in Amelia’s room just yet as I might want that for downstairs but whilst I’m thinking about it these are the ones I would choose from.

  1. This a Pyramid Bean Bag which I would put inside her teepee. I love these from the Great Little Trading Company and they are a really good size but possibly too pricey so I would be looking around for one in more or less the same pattern as I like that it incorporates lots of different pastel colours.
  2. I love this Chair from IKEA. I’m not sure if its the fat legs, the bubblegum pink or the fact that its £7 I just love it and whether its for a bedroom or downstairs I think its a must.
  3. And if your getting the chair you have to get the matching Table which is also a bargain at £17.
  4. This Whittington Chair is another pick from Great Little Trading Company and poses the same problem as the bean bag chair…love it but maybe its too much money. Would maybe look out for it going on sale as I would love to get it in either pink/white/yellow.

Cushions with numbers

My final picks are a selection of cushions all completely different with mismatching patterns and sizes but I think they would look really inviting bursting out of Amelia’s teepee or scattered on her bed.

  1. This Little Fairy Butterflies Cushion is from John Lewis and if I went with butterfly bedding would sit nicely on top.
  2. This is the Provence Rose Cushion from Cath Kidston. I think every room should have something Cath Kidston and I really love this print.
  3. This Bella Butterfly Cushion matches the bedding I chose waaay at the top of this post from Laura Ashley.
  4. Floral Embroidered Cushion is from H&M and follows all other items from there in being a great price at £7.99.
  5. Fox Cushion is from Next. Who doesn’t love foxes especially when it is only £8.
  6. Like their blankets Zara have got a plethora of gorgeous cushions this Little Flowers Patchwork design being one of them.
  7. Little Dots Cushion is another beautiful Zara cushion (oops!) Its quilted with stars and then the bright coloured loose threads are a really nice addition.
  8. This would be more of a little joke as Amelia LOVES broccoli so it would be funny to have this Cushion/Toy from IKEA.
  9. A final pick from H&M is this lovely Frilled Gold Cushion to keep the fashionable side of the room.

I know there is a lot to take in from this post but would love your thoughts. What you like, what you don’t like and point me in the direction of other shops/websites that have bits to go with this floral, girly, cutsie, mismatching bedroom idea!

Family Friendly Meals!

Life is so much easier now that Amelia just has a smaller or slightly tweaked version of what I have for dinner. Having to cook up purées and different batches of food for Amelia used to be time consuming but I was set on making my own so persevered. I feel like it has paid off as most of the time she isn’t particularly fussy with food and will give anything a try.

I love cooking tasty meals and expanding my food knowledge. We never did have many jars or sauce packets but since having Amelia most meals are made from scratch. I think a lot of people don’t do this because of time constraints but once you’ve perfected a recipe it’s just second knowledge and can get done just as quick. I know what’s going in Amelia’s food and I can fill it with lots of tasty herbs and none of the bad stuff!

Most meals she has exactly the same just chopped a bit smaller and then a few she might have cooked along side with a few tweaks e.g. When I cook a curry she has less spice!

It also means that we can have dinner together. Family meal times are really important to me. I grew up having had dinner together most nights as a family bar when it didn’t suit due to hobbies, commitments and seeing friends but it’s a really good way to catch up on everyone’s day. Obviously Amelia can’t quite fill us in on what she has been up too. But you get the idea.

Here are some meals that we have that are perfectly suitable for a 16month old baby:

  •  Lasagne
  • Bolognese
  • Chilli (less spice)
  • Shepherds pie
  • Fish pie
  • Chicken casserole
  • Sausage casserole
  • Stir fry
  • Fish cakes
  • Chicken curry (less spice)
  • Roast dinner
  • Fajitas (less spice)
  • Tomato pasta
  • Creamy chicken pasta
  • Salmon and veg

I’m sure you all have lots of food ideas so I won’t go on anymore. Just wanted to show that meal times don’t have to be a gazillion different meals and times. That lots of different meals can be adapted to suit those eating.

Amelia’s favourites are fajitas, lasagne and fish pie. She loves holding her own mini fajita and munching through it. Then the bolognese based sauce for a lasagne Amelia also enjoys but think her favourite bit is the garlic bread! Amelia absolutely loves broccoli she eats it by the handful so she usually gets a side of that with any meal it suits.

Christmas Stocking Ideas…

Its another Christmas themed post I’m afraid! I have been much more organised with Christmas shopping this year and this has actually worked out really well. Most of Amelia’s presents this year have been bought when there were sales on or with discount codes etc which means I’ve spent less…well not entirely it means I’ve bought more. I think its fair to say I have gone maybe not overboard but I’ve definitely bought enough presents for Amelia this year. But her birthday is a long way off so she needs enough bits and pieces to keep her going. I’m finished with Amelia’s Christmas sack/stocking so I thought I would share with you what I have got and it can hopefully give you some ideas if you are stuck or after some inspiration.

IMG_2978 (2)

What I really like this year is that the presents can be separated into groups of things; bath stuff, educational toys, books and arty/messy play supplies. I can’t remember the price of each item but I will include where I bought them; some bits were from actual shops and some online.

IMG_2978

Arty Supplies:

  • Giant colouring book – ASDA
  • Painting Tub- ASDA
  • Play Doh – Lidl
  • Paint brushes- Net price direct
  • Water colour paints- Net price direct
  • Chunky crayons- Net price direct
  • Washable Markers- Net price direct
  • Chunky pencils- Net price diret

I’m so excited for these bits to be opened and used. If you frequently read my blog/follow us on twitter you will know that I love doing crafts and messy play activities with Amelia and all of these bits will come in handy for that. This is Amelia’s first colouring book and something like crayons and pencils make for excellent stocking fillers. I found this site Net Price Direct and have actually bought a few bits off here. The prices are quite a discount for what you might spend in shops and they have some really fun bits (especially the wooden toys!)

IMG_2978 - Copy (2)

Bathtime/bedtime bits:

  • Alphabet foam bath letters – Sainsburys
  • Bath Crayons- Sainsburys
  • Gruffalo socks- Sainsburys
  • Peppa Pig slippers- Next
  • Minnie Mouse Cuddle robe- Home Bargains

I’ve wanted the bath crayons for such a long time but thought it was best to wait until she would use them properly and I think foam bath letters are present in every household bathroom if you have children! I love the Minnie Mouse bath towel and its an actual Disney product from Home Bargains and I think it was something like £1.50, could be wrong but it was super cheap. Amelia is a huge huge Peppa Pig fan so pretty sure the slippers will go down well plus they are fur lined so will keep her feet super toasty. The Gruffalo socks were a little extra and come in a pack of three!

IMG_2978 - Copy

Educational toys;

  • Gruffalo puzzle- John Lewis
  • Seashore threading fun- ELC (Mothercare)
  • My complete learning pack cards- ELC (Mothercare)
  • Star links- ELC (Mothercare)
  • Wooden stacking train- Lidl
  • Wooden animal skittles- Sainsburys
  • Stacking cups- Sainsburys

These are the bits I’m probably most looking forward to using. I absolutely love wooden toys and when we were away glamping they had a skittle set that we taught Amelia to play with so I think she will really enjoy these plus she loves throwing and rolling a ball. She has a set of four stacking cups and can stack them but I think this set comes with 10/12 so she can get better at balancing things. This puzzle is great as each one has an extra piece so one is 2 pieces the next is 3 etc etc. She is starting to be able to push pieces together plus who doesn’t love the Gruffalo. The cards are more for introducing words to Amelia being able to point to the picture on the card and say the word so she can start to copy. I’ve seen a lot of threading and cotton reel sets but they are quite intricate but this set comes with thick laces and chunky wooden characters with large holes to thread through. The star links will also be good for concentration play to learn how to push them together and pull them apart. I know babies learn through all of their toys but I don’t see the harm in introducing some educational toys especially when it is as subtle as this!

IMG_2978 - Copy (3)

Books and extras;

  • Goodies selection box- ASDA
  • Milkybar buttons tube- Lidl
  • The Highway Rat & Zog Multipack- Tesco
  • Peppa Pig Little Library- TK Maxx
  • My first books set of 4-  TK Maxx
  • Sofia board book- G&T’s

Who doesn’t love books! She has got a few other books coming as under the tree presents but these were all my bargain books! We love Julia Donaldson books and have most of the collection with Axel Scheffler but when I saw the multipack for just £5 I had to get it as you can normally only grab one board book by Julia Donaldson for that price. Amelia loves Sofia and although this book only has a couple of pages I think it was £1 and I’m sure she will like it as she will recognise the characters. We already have the original Peppa Pig little library so when I saw the fairytale version I had to get it; plus they are small books which are easy to keep in a bag whilst you are out and about. The set of my first books were an absolute steal for the price. They were £3.99 for the four and are bright, colourful and will be great when Amelia starts saying more words. I haven’t bought books from TK Maxx before but I would definitely recommend having a look as they have lots of great pack’s and sets for really discounted prices.

I have also been pretty eager and wrapped these bits already to get a head start…

IMG_2981

So this is it bar the odd present I may just HAVE to buy in the next couple of weeks. I had an entire roll of the brown tree wrapping paper from last year that I thought I would do the stocking bits with and I’m hoping to get some Peppa Pig wrap or something fun for her presents under the tree.

What do you think are great stocking fillers?

My 1st Years review!

There is something really lovely about having everyday items personalised for your baby. Not only does it make them more special but it then makes that item unique and individual to any other. My 1st Years is a company that does just that! They sell a variety of products from teddies and clothes to toys and décor. The pricing is really reasonable and each gift comes with a free gift box; for me I love the way and item is packaged so this is a huge plus! The quality of their products is brilliant and I am going to tell you in a little bit more detail about a blanket we have been reviewing from My 1st Years.

Amelia and I were sent this gorgeous pink fleece blanket with the floral trim. Above the chosen personalisation is also an appliqué floral teddy which I really love! You can have up to 12 characters on your personalisation and it doesn’t have to be your babies name!

image1 (2)

I got so excited when the parcel arrived and opening it to see the signature luxury gift box really made my day. The blanket was wrapped in tissue and then the blanket itself has a little piece of the floral fabric complete with button to hold the blanket together when folded.

image1

The blanket is a great size measuring 75cm x 100cm and is 100% polyester.

The blanket has had multiple uses for us so far; in her pram, in her cot and to just snuggle up with as it really is so soft! It is perfect size for an extra layer in Amelia’s cot with the colder weather, although its main use has been as a blanket for when we are out with the pram. Most of the blankets I have are much bigger and even if they were folded just wouldn’t tuck in right or stay in the pram. Now she’s bigger and sits right up there isn’t as much space in the Quinny to tuck a blanket in and all the bigger ones drag along the floor or get caught up in the front wheel.  As this is perfect size it does not do this plus it looks super cute with her name on it.

image2 (1)

IMG_2116

Amelia was poorly here and this blanket was so nice to cuddle up too!

I have washed the blanket and it washes and dries really well and looks brand new so that is another plus as babies seem to get grubby hands on everything no matter how precious it is!

I can see this blanket being a feature in Amelia’s room as a little throw over the end of her bed or inside her little tepee. It is definitely an item that will be around for a long time not just because of its quality but because of how gorgeous it is and how special it is to have her name on it.

You can get this fleecy blanket in three different colours; pink, blue and cream and there are a variety of text colours you can choose for your personalisation. My 1st Years also do other blankets in knit, cashmere and in different sizes.

For me My 1st Years is the whole package and not just the product. I love the website it is really easy to navigate and the checkout process is simple and fast. Quick delivery and then the products arrival in a beautiful box complete with bow really demonstrates the company’s attention to detail and shows the care put into each of their products.

This blanket gets a massive thumbs up from us and it definitely won’t be the last thing I get from My 1st Years (I already have my eye on a few bits for Christmas!)

If you are after a gift for your baby or a friend’s baby /toddler this year this is definitely the place to shop. It even comes gift wrapped and I am  pretty sure every Mum and Dad out there wouldn’t mind a few of these boxes stacked up under the tree!

Give Yourself a Raise

Now unfortunately I’m not talking about a pay raise!

But instead talking about giving YOURSELF a raise.

Everyday you are putting in so much hard work just being you let alone in everything else you do. Now majority of my readers are my fellow pbloggers who are not just taking care of themselves but little ones sometimes lots of little ones and that is something that definitely deserves a raise. You are looking after a little person in my case a 7month old which uses a lot of energy and pushes me to all kinds of limits throughout the day/week/month.

This post is being done because myself and Raise.com want to know how you reward yourself for doing these things.

What is your indulgence to treat yourself?

Is it purchasing something really expensive or is it just spending more than 5 minutes in the shower. Whatever it is I really want to know!

For a while I didn’t have much time on my hands to reward myself; as for the first few months my daughter Amelia wouldn’t be going to bed until I did. Fortunately she now goes to sleep between 7-8pm giving me those all important evening hours. Now in between sterilising bottles and tidying away toys I do definitely give myself some time. One thing that makes me feel really happy is painting my nails; as silly as it sounds for months I didn’t have time to do my nails something I used to do weekly. Now I can have the time one evening a week to do this. There is something quite rewarding about having nice nails(I can see the coral Maybelline nail polish looking fresh right now as I type) and I’ll tell you its a better feeling than looking down at unpainted nails.

Ok so that might be a little be trivial but it works for me! Other things include a bath; usually it is just a quick shower in the morning whilst Amelia is still asleep so a bath is a nice way to relax and reflect on all the things I have done that day.

A night out!! Being a single mum although having an amazing support system around me consisting of family and friends means I am doing this parenting thing alone! For me that works out great as I’m a slight control freak but having the occasional night out really rewarding. I appreciate a night out more and enjoy myself more than I probably used to when I could do it whenever.  A couple weeks ago it was my birthday so I went out for dinner with a couple of my friends and it was so nice to be baby free for the evening, knowing that she was safe with my parents and not relying on me for the evening. I love getting dressed up doing my hair and makeup. makes a change from jeans and whatever top is in the front of my wardrobe for most days!

Baking is another thing for me. I love baking. Cakes, tarts, puddings and treats I just love to experiment and make new things. For me its more about the making and the decorating rather than the eating which is probably a good thing ; not that I don’t enjoy indulging in the treats I’ve made. But I find nothing better than listening to the mixer going, radio on and decorating a cake.

Now to do the soppy mum bit; another thing that really makes my day and gives me that raise to get up the next day and do it all again is Amelia. She is absolutely gorgeous and just the best little character that I’ve brought up so far. From dressing her in the morning (in what I must say are extremely stylish outfits) to making her meals and getting her off to sleep at night that is all me and seeing her laugh/smile/do something new is just such a fantastic feeling!

I think it is super important to make sure you have some time somewhere in your day even if its just to eat a bar of galaxy and take a deep breath to remember that your fantastic and doing so well at whatever your day has consisted of, I mean you got out of bed right?!

Thanks so much for reading and if you haven’t given yourself a raise today; you are doing a great job…keep it up!xxx

The Bows and Booties Boutique Review…

I was super lucky to receive some bits from The Bows and Booties a company a first came across on twitter! They have bits for boys and girls creating a boutique of shoes, socks, bibs, cardigans and blankets! They have an ebay shop where you can purchase these lovely items (The Bows and Booties Boutique ebay shop)

I wasn’t sure what I would get so was very excited when my parcel arrived!

As you can see from the picture I was sent a gorgeous white, green and pink floral blanket, a neckerchief  dribble bib and some really cute pom pom shoes!

A dribble bib is an essential for Amelia these days and the great thing about this one is that it comes down quite long rather than some smaller ones that seem to get caught up underneath Amelia’s neck and twist around loads! Its a velcro attachment which is quite big so you do have some leeway with looseness and tightness of the bib. Also it coming in pink is a plus!!

The blanket is my favourite thing I received. It has an indented floral rose print onto it. It is mainly white but has bursts of pink and green a really nice colour combination. I have found that it is the perfect size for a car seat so ever since receiving it that is where it can be found but could be used for in a cot too or just a nice blanket to sit on. It is so soft and washes perfectly. Amelia kicked it off when I was carrying the carseat which led me to stand on it leaving a muddy footprint! I worried it wouldn’t come out but came out the wash looking brand new! Something which has to be possible with babies as washing is just every mums favourite thing to do.

The little pom pom shoes are just sooooo cute. Amelia doesn’t very often wear shoes because she pulls them off and the pom poms seem to taste great according to her but these are really sweet to just pop on which a little outfit. Thankfully the pom pom is on really securely and won’t come off not even with Amelia yanking it! I got a 0-3month size shoes which Amelia has only just grown out of (at 7 months). I think she has quite small feet though but shoe sizes are very difficult with babies. photo 2 (3)Very cute and very girly!

The Bows and Booties can be found on twitter make sure you follow them: Bows and Booties

They also have an ebay websate which can be found here: The Bows and Booties Boutique

From having many emails back and forth with them they are really friendly which makes a company much more appealing for me. The pricing for items is also so reasonable! The quality of the products are great and taking all these things into account its a shop I will definitely purchase from!

Thank you xxx
